Is Having A Live Disc-Jockey Really Necessary?
Many people these days are for-going having a Professional DJ because they have an iPod or a playlist on shuffle with their favorite music. While this guarantees that the music at your wedding will be exactly what you want, you will find that doing this makes the mood of your night kind of stale. There is no one designated to keeping your crowd entertained, no one is there making announcements, and no one is around to make sure that your special moments on the biggest day of your life happen flawlessly. Not having a DJ ensures that all of this burden is placed on you, adding stress, worry, and extra work. This is NOT the feeling you want to have at your reception!
How Experienced Are You? Should Experience Be A Concern?
Combining the experience of all of the DJ's we have available to assist with your wedding would put us well over the century mark. We have done thousands of events across the state and many across the country. In this economy, you're seeing a flood of DJ's coming to the market. While their prices may seem affordable and they may look professional, you need to know that you can trust the person that is in charge of making one of the biggest days of your life come together Eloquently, Seamlessly and Beautifully. When one works in the industry for as we have been, you start to develop relationships with the vendors you work with most often. There are lots of venues, wedding planners, and that breathe a sigh of relief when they know we will be coming to an event, and some select individuals who only work with us exclusively. We are on the preferred DJ list at various reception centers all through the state, and have worked at almost every major event center across in the State of Utah. Are You DJ's Exclusively, or Do You Emcee The Event Too?
The point of having a Wedding DJ is not just to play music, but also to assist in the flow of the reception. It is mandatory that any DJ sent to your wedding will be comfortable speaking on a microphone. At times we will make announcements, inviting your guests to participate in certain ceremonies and events with you on your special day. You may want us to make introductions of the bridal party, or get your friends & family ready for a Garter / Bouquet Toss. We are there to take care of what you need.
That being said, we will never take it upon ourselves to take over an event, make it about us, or be pushy with your guests. It saddens us when we hear stories of aggressive DJ's that push hard on a mic, making people uncomfortable. We will be as interactive & entertaining, or as laid-back & chill as you would like. We will ask you during our initial consultation how you would have us officiate the evening. Your preference is what guides our actions throughout the event.

Can I Choose The Music You Play At My Wedding?
This question is pretty easy to answer... With An Astounding "Of Course!" In fact, we invite you to pick out all your own music. The More The Better! Being very specific with your song selection means that the music played at your reception will represent you as a couple, and will remind the people at your reception why they like you so much. It also means that you won't perk your ears up in the middle of your wedding dinner and give us a stare of death from across the room. We obviously generally play music that will be pleasant to a wide variety of individuals and tastes, but we default to anything that you ask us to play. Weddings always go better when couples provide us with a list of songs they like, as well as a list of things they may not like to hear at your reception.
We're LDS... Do You Play Clean Music? Are You Church Approved?
We get this question often, obviously living in the state we do. While there is not an official approval, outside of working with Brigham Young University & LDS Institutes (which we do), there is a code of conduct the Church has laid out for entertainment in official church meeting houses, and we pride ourselves in meeting that standard. It should be noted that many of our DJ's are LDS and we have done hundreds of events located in chapels, stake centers, institutes, and BYU. The music played during your reception is edited not only for content, but also subject matter. We strive to play music that would not offend people in attendance, and have default music that sets a great environment for a fun, uplifting and appropriate church wedding. Even if it's not in a Church Building, just let us know would like LDS standards at your wedding and we will completely make that the priority!
We're Not LDS... Do You Only Cater To Clean Music Standards?
On the flip-side, we have done hundreds of events where LDS Standards are not necessary. We are here to cater to a variety of clients' needs, and are ready and able to match the music of an event to your exact style and requirements. That being said, we do tend to default to music that isn't vulgar, demoralizing, or inappropriate, especially in the beginning of a reception. Often times, as the night progresses, we will play more dance music that can be a little more racy in nature if left unedited. While our goal is to be as radio-edited as possible and to not offend anyone, the Bride and Groom have 100% control of the music, and we will play what you want to hear. It is your reception, and you should love every second of it! We will work with each couple specifically.
We're Having Alcohol At Our Wedding. What's Your Policy With That?
For many weddings in the world, alcohol is a necessary and worthwhile expense. It calms the nerves, it lightens the mood, it gets your hips moving side to side... from a DJ's standpoint, it makes our job that much easier! Whether or not you are serving drinks at your wedding reception, it is no problem for us. We will state that it is our policy that DJ's will not drink while at the reception. Most people have heard horror stories of drunk DJ's messing up a wedding, and that is just not how we operate. We guarantee that our DJ's will not drink while assisting in your wedding. This is an issue that is completely avoidable, and we have never had nor never will have a problem with it.
